This feature allows you to record a customers details and any products they've purchased. It's useful if you want to contact a customer in the future or if your business needs to associate a sale or service to a specific customer.
Creating a customer
To create a customer click found on the homepage. It will take you to the customers page where you can search for existing customers or create a new one. Now click .
It will take you to a page labelled Edit Cutomer and here you can fill out the details for the customer. Enter the name of the customer at the top of the page. There's also a box where you can add any information you feel is required. The rest of the page is split into three sections.

This is where you can record any purchases the customer has made. To do so click . It will take you to a page labelled Customer Transaction where you can search for the product the customer has purchased. Type in the name or partial name of the product your looking for and click . Any products that meet the search criteria will appear below.
Select the one you want and it will take you to another screen where you can choose the department the product came from and the department it's moving to. Most commonly in this situation it will be Shop Floor to Customer Sale. You can also specify the quantity of the product the customer bought. Once you've done that click . This will take you back to the Edit Customer page and you will now be able to see the purchase under Transactions.
Lock Stock was developed within an animal shelter where it was necessary to record an animals details alongside their current carers details. This feature could also be useful for veterinary clinics and even pet shops but simply ignore it if it doesn't apply to your business. In the future we intend to create different versions of Lock Stock catered to particular business types but currently there is just the one version and this feature is required by our current customer base.
To add an animals details click . It will take you to a page labelled Edit Animal which is similar to the Edit Customer page. Fill in the animals information in the appropriate boxes and then click found at the bottom of the page. To return to the customers details click which is also found at the bottom of the page.
At the top of the page you will notice . Click this to change ownership of the animal. It will take you to another page where you can search for the person ownership is moving to. The persons details will already have to exist on your data base for them to show and if they don't then you will need to add them as a new customer first.
This feature is to record medication dispensed to the animal. Select the medication in the same way you would a product for a customer.
Editing and deleting a customers records
To edit or delete a customers records click on the homepage and then search for the customer by typing their name or partial name in the search bar. Any which meet the search criteria will be displayed below. Select the one you want and it will take you to the edit customer page where you can edit their details or remove them completely by clicking at the bottom of the page.
